Praise for Founding F%!#ers

“All this and more is winningly portrayed in Founding F%!#ers: The Story of Ethan Allen and Benedict Arnold. Written by Conor Casey, this World Premiere in the Don Fulton New Works Project brings a lively and humorous account of this forgotten corner of Revolutionary War history to the Greater Boston Stage Company....entertaining, enlightening, and remarkably enjoyable.”

“Conor Casey’s new play, Founding F%!#ers, seeks to tear down these statues of the Revolution’s leaders in comedic fashion. Casey does so by focusing on the characters just beyond the limelight, the ones whose trajectories zigzagged and doubled back rather than marching forward in a straight line.”
“It is a marvel that Casey has crafted an entertaining night of theater that can largely be followed, even by those who don’t have a degree in history..."
-The New England Theatre Geek

“History buffs, prepare to be entertained…Rumor, gossip, spies, backstabbing, conspiracies and tall tales all come to a head in a story that looks back on events with the full knowledge of how these events were bound to turn out.”
-The Sleepless Critic

Since then, Conor has seen five of his plays come to life on stage, earning recognition such as the top prize at the Celtic Calling Playwriting Competition for his piece The Pangs of Ulster. His full-length play Founding F***ers: The Story of Ethan Allen and Benedict Arnold was recently selected for The Greater Boston Stage Company's 2025 season.
